To rescue a Head Office refurbishment project where the Contractor was not performing and there was negligence by the previous Quantity Surveyor.
Our client suffered negligence by their Quantity Surveyor and a lack of co-operation by an overcharging Main Contractor. Approaching practical completion, Arbicon were brought in to take over the QS role and direct the contract to a conclusion including managing defects and agreeing the account without having to terminate the Contractor. The Contractor was brought into line and the overvalued account was reduced by £250,000.
