Last month, Arbicon supported the Tony Hadley Golf Day 2022 in aid of Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to funding vital research to save and change children’s lives, developing lifesaving vaccinations and treatments.
The celebrity filled charity day, held at Elton Furze Golf Club in Peterborough, was a fantastic event led by Tony Hadley, involving approx. 40-50 teams of 4-balls, with some great competitions and donation prizes to be won. The golf day was followed by a themed gala dinner and charity auction celebrating the charity’s 70th year.
This was our first time attending this annual event, which was a great success, raising approx. £40,000. Many familiar faces added to the entertainment for the event including actor, Ricky Groves, famous for his role in Eastenders, British ski jumper, Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards and Olympic bronze medallist, double World Champion, Sarah Winckless, Tony Christie and the Chasers to name a few.
Unfortunately, unlike the large number of Adjudication cases we win, it turns out that the Arbicon team could do with a bit more practice at golf! Perhaps we will stick to construction claims! We did, however, have a fantastic time and it was great to do our bit supporting such a worthy cause.
